The challenges and impacts of the pandemic have reshaped the labour landscape, requiring trade unions to innovate and adapt.
To address these challenges, the UnionLink Asia-Pacific Community of Practice provides a dynamic, collaborative space for unions to connect, share insights, and develop strategies to support workers across the region.
Union CoLab Asia-Pacific builds on findings from ACTRAV’s 2021 Training Needs Assessment, which identified critical capacity-building themes, including problem-solving, advocacy, fiscal literacy, social dialogue, and social security financing. It also emphasizes three pivotal areas for development: skills and lifelong learning, digital communication, and research analysis.
Through structured learning pathways, interactive workshops, peer exchanges, and access to curated resources, the platform enables union members to:
- tackle workplace challenges using innovative solutions,
- strengthen social dialogue and advocacy efforts, and
- equip themselves with tools and knowledge to champion workers' rights.
By fostering collaboration, capacity building, and solidarity, Union CoLab Asia-Pacific empowers unions to create lasting change in the region.
