The course in a nutshell

This Introductory Online Training will help you to explore the basics of the legislative, regulatory, organizational, and managerial foundations of the modern Public Procurement System in Nepal, with a focus on low-value procurement.

The project, sponsored by the Government of Nepal and the World Bank, and supported by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), aims at improving public procurement performance and staff capacity in Nepal.

At the end of this introductory online training, made of three modules, you will be invited to take a final exam (multiple-choice questions). It is compulsory to pass the final exam in order to get your online certificate.

Who is involved?

This Introductory Online Training on Public Procurement addresses the different roles and skills of various players in the Nepal public procurement system and provides new professionals with basic knowledge and managerial techniques. The course is tailored to the needs of:

·         Public procurement professionals from various government entities

·         Project managers and procurement personnel from investment and technical cooperation projects

·         Recent university graduates

·         Procurement trainers.

·         ...and targets, in particular, the newcomers in the field of procurement.

The overall objective of this Introductory Online Training on Public Procurement is to provide you with the full spectrum of knowledge and skills necessary to cope with the challenges of regulating, executing, and monitoring public procurement for low-value contracts in a sustainable, economic, and socially responsive manner.
