en Employment services for effective job transitions

How to promote just transitions in labour market towards decent work: the role of employment services, in particular in time of global crisis. This online course provides the knowledge and tools required to facilitate job transitions and labour market integration, particularly for young people and women, and enhance the role of employment services. The course methodology is designed to promote the sharing of experience and good practice. This online training will strengthen the capacities of practitioners and policy makers to design, implement efficient employment services. The training will offer an innovative e-learning platform for open policy dialogues between government officials, workers' and employers' organizations representatives, and staff of development agencies. This policy-oriented online learning course will enable you to join a virtual global network of practitioners in a flexible timing. The course consists of a number of online modules offered through the ITCILO e-Campus online platform to be completed from 1st June to end October 2020, for a total of 60 learning hours. The course is broken down into three phases: (i) Pre-course learning: flexible self-guided online learning on with a final assessment; (ii) 'Real time' learning: Live interactive sessions and engaging video presentations by highly experienced trainers and international experts, blended with individual and collaborative group exercises, and online technical forums; and, (iii) End of course assignment: Individual assignment applying to national contexts. Participants who successfully complete all assessments and the final assignment will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

The course aims to build the capacities of government officials and other relevant stakeholders wanting to promote inclusive growth and job creation and better integrate employment concerns into macroeconomic policies. It exposes participants to an appropriate combination of theoretical insights and practical exercises, and includes knowledge-sharing on the part of national and international actors responsible for macroeconomic policies and employment.
